A Message From a Life You Transformed

We recently had a conversation with Dr. Wendi Miller, who spent a portion of her formative teenage years in Wedgwood’s Residential Care. She shared her background (one full of trauma, hurt, anger, and setbacks), impactful moments and people from her time at Wedgwood, and advice for kids currently in our care. She also had a message for you, the faithful and generous supporters who make it possible for people who are hurting to get the grace-filled care, treatment, and support they need:

First of all, I want to say thank you. You have no idea the difference you are making, that Wedgwood is making. I spent many years at other placements and facilities where I did not feel safe, loved, or cared for. Wedgwood is different, it is a unique place. I was so fortunate to find myself in Wedgwood’s care.

Every person that supports Wedgwood and the grace-filled care they provide, is changing the lives of people for generations to come! Had I not been at Wedgwood, I would not have experienced God’s love and gone on to raise my three children in a loving, Christian home, and my children wouldn’t have been able to raise my five grandchildren to know God’s love. I have been blessed with a family that is able to share God’s goodness with others. You are exponentially spreading transformation to people that may not have experienced it otherwise.

Without Wedgwood, I surely would not be where I am today, looking, feeling, and actually being successful. I can tell you that, yes, what Wedgwood does works, it matters, and it is the greatest blessing ever. Your support means that Wedgwood can impact another generation (or two!) of people who are struggling. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for giving, and for your support.
