Trauma Informed Parenting

A psychoeducational parenting class is offered to parents/caregivers who have children who have experienced trauma and are part of their healing process. T.I.P. is a 6-week course that covers the topics of:

• Trauma 101
• Understanding the effects of trauma
• Understanding feelings and behaviors
• Building a safe place
• Connections and Healing
• Being an advocate

This course is offered 6 times throughout the year here at Wedgwood Christian Services. This is a great time to build safety and support with other parents/caregivers struggling with similar concerns.

Classes are on Wednesdays via Zoom. Please note that childcare is not provided.

• April 10, 2024 – May 15, 2024 | 5:30PM – 7:30PM
• August 7, 2024 – September 11, 2024 | 11:30AM – 1:30PM
• September 25, 2024 – October 30, 2024 | 5:30PM – 7:30PM
• November 12, 2024 – December 17, 2024 | 5:30PM – 7:30PM
