In-home Intervention

Wedgwood’s In-home Intervention Services exist to promote physical, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth and health for each child, adult and family within the community. Our home-based services are available to respond to a wide range of needs present in our communities. The aim of all services is to support and enhance the meaningful participation of clients and families within their communities. Treatment can be customized to meet the unique needs of individual children and families.

In-home Family Service Program. The In-home Family Service Program provides support and therapeutic intervention to prevent out-of-home placement, or assist in reintegration following out-of-home placement. In-home services may include individual and family counseling, mentoring, and phone contacts with the family, and on their behalf, connecting them with community resources that can provide additional assistance. The treatment plan and number/type of contacts are developed on the basis of each family’s needs, and can involve the use of Youth Treatment Specialists as well as therapists. Wedgwood also provides In-home Substance Abuse Treatment services.

Ages: No specific limits; may be determined by referral source
Length of stay: Normally three to six months

Juvenile Community Justice Program (JCJ). The Juvenile Community Justice Program is a home-based balanced restorative justice (BARJ) treatment program that works with adolescent offenders and their families in their own homes after they have been discharged from an intensive out of home/ residential setting. The program supports the reintegration of the youth into the community by providing intensive home-based treatment and surveillance services.

Ages: 3 - 17 years
Length of stay: Six month minimum

Juvenile Justice Diversion & Reintegration Alternatives Program (JJDRA). This program is designed to prevent the initial out-of-home placement of less serious juvenile offenders, as well as to assist delinquent youth in the transition from intensive treatment in residential placements. This is accomplished through reintegration into a supportive community environment that will facilitate law-abiding behavior and self-sufficiency.

Ages: 13 - 18 years
Length of stay: an average of 6 months
Schooling: community
