Christmas at Wedgwood

Christmas at Wedgwood is always a challenging time of year for our children in residential treatment. Some might not have a family to go home to to spend the holidays with, or for some it might only bring up sad memories of abuse or neglect. In order to make these children feel extra special and loved during the holidays, many from our community have come together over the years to treat these children to the Christmas experience they deserve.

Below are a few stories from this year's Christmas at Wedgwood as well as a list of all the generous donors who helped make the holidays memorable for the children at Wedgwood:

St. Mary's of Westphalia: Although a small school with only 230 students, this rural community joined together to buy christmas gifts for 75 children at Wedgwood and also held a Christmas food drive. We are so thankful for their generosity and appreciate their long history of bringing smiles to the faces of the children in our residential homes.

Brightformat: This year Brightformat, a local printing company, generously offered to purchase coats for many of our kids on campus. Since most of the children who come to Wedgwood enter our doors with little more than the clothes on their backs, this gift will allow our kids to enjoy the winter season and stay warm long after they leave our care.

Netech and Notions Marketing: The staff and employees of Netech as well as Notions Marketing each recently used an "Angel Tree" to purchase a variety of gifts for all children in Wedgwood's residential care. This tree featured the names of numerous gifts that employees could buy for the children at Wedgwood who had put the items on their Christmas wish lists. We are thrilled that because of the generosity of these employees, our children at Wedgwood will all feel loved and special during the holidays.
