In our residential programs for emotionally impaired youth, the Bachelor’s Level intern will receive hands-on experience in the daily care and counsel of youth and their families. The student will work alongside Youth Treatment Specialists who utilize a wide variety of acquired professional intervention techniques as they work with at-risk youth. The Master’s Level intern in the residential setting will work closely with a Master’s Level Therapist in providing individual, family and group therapy to our clients. The student will be introduced to the social welfare system and the provision of services to emotionally impaired youth on a local, county and state level.
Our Wellness Services provide internship experiences designed for students in the therapeutic recreation field. In these internships, students gain firsthand knowledge in the use of activities as therapeutic tools in residential treatment.
