We offer individual and family counseling for adults, adolescents, and children to help with life changes, mood or anxiety issues, or other difficulties with behaviors or relationships. Our approach to therapy emphasizes building a trusting relationship with a therapist who can help you develop the understanding and skills needed to create lasting positive changes in your life.
Wedgwood’s Psychiatric Services provide medication management for children, teens, and adults. Our services can work in tandem with counseling services to provide and individualized, holistic approach to mental and behavioral health.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) is an evidenced based treatment for youth and adolescents (3-18yrs) and their caregivers who have been impacted by trauma. TFCBT research has shown this model to be effective in reducing symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Wedgwood also offers a Trauma Informed Parenting Class.
Community Care Management is designed to support families for the first few months after a crisis. This home-based support can be provided either to prevent an out-of-home placement or to assist the family with a transition when their child returns home from an out-of-home placement either in a psychiatric hospital or residential setting. A therapist will come to the home or youth’s school 1-3 times weekly (depending on needs) to provide support and engage the child and family in counseling. They will work to identify the root causes that created the crisis. The family will look at communication patterns, expectations, triggers of crisis and coping skills they can use in the future. The therapist will ensure the youth’s mental health and emotional needs are evaluated regularly during this time of Community Care Management. The therapist will link the family with necessary support services (including urgent psychiatry medication assessments/reviews here at Wedgwood Christian Services, if necessary) and encourage the youth and family to continue counseling through traditional office-based services if warranted once Community Care Management is completed.

To schedule an initial counseling appointment, please call or email us. An intake specialist will gather some basic information and help arrange your first appointment.
The initial session will begin an assessment process. This is an opportunity for your therapist to get to know you and learn about your needs and goals. Through this assessment process, your therapist will work with you to develop a plan for your treatment.
